Easter Basket Favorites for Baby

Poor Jack. Easter is not his holiday! He spent his first Easter in the NICU. My parents brought Easter dinner to our hospital room (we were lucky enough to deliver somewhere that allows parents to stay in the hospital as long as their baby is a patient) and we celebrated with him there. This year, Easter falls on his first birthday! My in-laws were supposed to come in for the weekend, we’d have his birthday party on Saturday and celebrate Easter on Sunday. But no. Jack’s second Easter will be spent under quarantine.

I’m not going to let it stop our good time, though! Jack has his first Easter basket all lined up, and a cute outfit for the day is pressed and ready to wear! Even if he doesn’t get to wear it to church or share the day with his extended family. I got his Easter basket and basket liner from Pottery Barn Kids. I like that they’re durable enough to be reused year after year, and they’re offered every year so I can coordinate future kiddos’ baskets.

Inside his basket, he has two Teething Eggs and a Bunny Lovey. The Teething Egg has a buy two get one free promo right now that I happily took advantage of!

Jack LOVES books. Board books especially are his jam, so I found a few for his Easter basket this year! Jack loves Curious George board books, so Curious George and the Bunny is one of our basket picks! Baby Touch and Feel series books are a hit, so this Bunny version is a good add. Sandra Boynton is Jack’s favorite and The Bunny Rabbit Show is one we don’t already have. Jack was gifted this Guess How Much I Love You set for Christmas, but it would be darling for an Easter basket as well! He adores his Little Nutbrown Hare, “Bunny!”

Mama’s a pretty big fan of her 30 ounce seafoam Yeti Rambler, so it was only right that Jack have his own! Yeti is offering free personalization and free shipping right now, so it was the perfect time to grab Jack his own water cup!

I probably don’t have too many years where I can get away with an Easter basket without candy, so I have to put some kind of treat in there! Puffs, yogurt melts, and teething biscuits are perennial favorites in this house, so I’m sure the Bunny will leave some for Jack.

Other basket ideas for baby:
– Teethers: Jack loves his Sophie the Giraffe, but this carrot is a great basket add-on!
– Shaker eggs: we go to music class on Mondays and Jack especially loves these eggs! Jack’s are wooden and came with this instrument set
– New pacifiers
– Christian-themed books
– Stuffed animals: I’ve always been a fan of the Jellycat bunnies, and these Cuddle+Kind stuffies help feed hungry children!
– Bubbles!
– Hair bows
– Socks: Jack is always taking his off and losing them!
– Food pouches
– A toothbrush to clean up after the treats!

What are you putting in your baby’s basket this year?
